A last Wave kiteboarding session...
Filed Under : Sport | Add your comment
We were planning this shooting for a while, in fact since we came back from Morocco. We had not there the wave conditions we expected, and we had this photoshooting to complete as soon as possible. A sunny day with South-East wind in Carro, was an opportunity not to be missed. Two hours driving to join them on the spot, three hours shooting in amazing conditions, for what should be one of the last recorded session ever on this spot. Why ? Because local windsurfers had made reclamations to have the exclusivity of the access on this spot and obtain it. The sea, the waves where anybody should enjoy in respecting other users, is not free anymore. Shame on them ! Last shots soon online…

For this first leg of the 2008 Speed World tour, riders had particularly strong conditions with wind up to 65 knots. No record broken during this week but a confirmation about the potential speed of F-One riders. Charlotte Consorti and Alex Caizergues won women and men events. Have a look on the short videoclip.

Kids Week 2008 – Meribel
Filed Under : Sport | Add your comment
Back from Sahara, a couple of hours ago, I had just a few hours to prepare my winter gear and it was time to join a noisy crew of kids. The first leg of the ’08 Oxbow Kids-Week was also for me the occasion to discover Meribel. Meribel where should take place one of my next jobs, the Oxbow ‘09 Winter junior catalogue shooting. Three days in the beautiful french alps, in one of the best ski resort in the world. Some photos of the event, and a preview of the spots on which I’ll be soon shooting junior sportswear.

On request of the artist’s agent, AD Gallery in Beziers, hosted a shooting day for one of the artist they are exposing. The sculptor/designer Alexandre Nicolas is working on synthetic cristal to offer incredible inclusions of various materials, cards, tokens, skulls, chickens… Famous brands such as Hermes, Airbus, Canal+, PMU recently ordered him original creations. Reflexions and refraxions of light through the cristal structure give a particular ambiance on those shots.

Back in France after two weeks in New Caledonia, an intense day of shooting was scheduled. To present Chipie’s summer 08 collection, a live show was organised in their Carcassonne’s showroom. Podiums, ambiances and 32 models to shoot at. Really exhausted at the end of the day.
You can download a PDF file of the lookbook that has been done from this shooting.

Paris transportation

A major photo show and some meetings, gave me the chance to walk Paris once again. Beautiful sunny days in the capital, during which I discovered Velib’ a system of thousands of bike, you can rent everywhere in Paris to travel the capital. Same systems exists in Marseille, Barcelona… this is just amazing, fantastic, cool, and friendly, it might also be a little dangerous within the hectic circulation. Trains and tube inspired me to test my last acquisition, the Canon G9. Compact, it first looks like a family camera, but once you take it in hands, it is just a bomb. All the professional functions are accessible in a second, way more discreet than any SLR bodies, this is a wonderful reportage tool to be in every professional gear.
